And contrary to other reports, the group say they have provided proof of funds to relevant parties.Newcastle fans are desperate for unpopular owner Mike Ashley to end his turbulent 12-year reign at St James Park.On Monday, a statement released by the Bin Zayed Group said: We can confirm that representatives of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan are in discussions with Mike Ashley and his team, about the proposed acquisition of Newcastle United Football Club.
