Bizarrely, a combined FOUR SUBSTITUTIONS were made in the first-half with players dropping like flies.It was first time since February 2009 that four substitutions occurred in the first half of a top-flight game.Manchester United were forced to use all three of their substitutions when Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard all went down injured.Lingard, who was a doubt for the fixture, had been introduced for Mata when he was forced off just 20 minutes later.
